CHOOSE YOUR FONDANT CUTTER

Create adorable cake toppers with our Hey Duggie fondant cutters. Available in multiple sizes, perfect for your next cake decorating project!

This set contains 13 pieces as shown in the photos. The 5.5 inch cutter size is pictured above. Please note the completed fondant you see in the photos is for illustration purposes showing what the completed design looks like.

We recommend a can of compressed air to gently blow the fondant from the smaller pieces of this set due to the detailed nature of the design.

The cutter sets are measured by the height (top to bottom) or width (left to right) of the entire design, whichever is larger. So the 5.5 inch size will create a 5.5 inch tall or wide cut out. All cutters measure 6mm in depth.

  • Our cutters work best with a firm fondant. We recommend a 50/50 mix of fondant and sugar paste (also known as modelling paste) or adding a little tylose or cmc to your fondant to make it more firm.

Dust your surface with icing sugar/cornflour. Dip the cutters in the cornflour/icing sugar before cutting. Press the cutters into the rolled fondant (approx 2-3mm thickness for the main part of the cutter) firmly and gently shimmy to and fro until you have cut clean through the fondant. Push the fondant out gently to release it from the cutter. Roll the fondant thinner for the remaining parts.

If you’ve purchased cutters with smaller parts these can be more tricky to work with but not impossible. Coat the smaller parts with vegetable shortening(trex), this will help with removing the fondant. Use a needle tool/toothpick/modelling tools to gently push the fondant out from the edges or a can of compressed air to gently blow them out works wonders!

All our cutters show pictures online with the completed design. Use these as a reference point when assembling. Use a brush dipped in water or edible glue (sparingly) when assembling the pieces.

Work in layers starting with the main cut out, then the rest of the pieces if using a multi piece set.
